FAQ
-
What is a virtual doula?
A virtual doula offers emotional, educational, and practical support through video, phone, or text - guiding you before, during, and after birth, wherever you are in the world.
-
How does virtual support work during labour?
When labour begins, I’m on call for you offering continuous reassurance, breathing guidance, and comfort techniques via phone or video, helping you and your partner stay calm and connected.
-
What is hypnobirthing?
Hypnobirthing is a gentle approach to childbirth that uses relaxation, breathing, and visualisation techniques to help you feel calm, confident, and in control throughout labour.
-
Do I need a partner to do hypnobirthing?
Not at all. You can take hypnobirthing classes on your own or with a partner. If you have one, I’ll show them how to offer calm, effective support during labour.
-
Is virtual doula support as effective as in-person?
Yes - virtual support provides the same compassionate, evidence-based guidance as in-person care, often with more flexibility and affordability.
-
How long is each session?
The full course is usually around 8 hours teaching, depending on how much we chat! This is usually split into 4 sessions of 2 hours. We’ve got a lot to cover - everything from due dates, signs of labour, to writing a birth plan. We should even be able to squeeze in a few laughs along the way.
